Hi, I want to find the deformation or loading rate for a thermally induced test. The test is restraining a beam in a chamber, where the temperature varies, and due to this change in temperature, there is tensile cracking in the specimen. How do I find the deformation or loading rate from this? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Dear nickv7

Why don't you try to figure out this information in ASTM D3418?

Have fun
