Hello,
I have an Inventor assembly with lifting lugs.
I want to determine at what angle will my assembly rotate as it is lifted from the lugs.
Help appreciated.

It Gets lifted at two lugs so the pivot movement is only in one plane.
It's a Bucket like component 10' long. I did initially include a pack n go of the model assembly name is Bucket-1.asm
It's a simple component but I just couldn't find how to locate the CG in the Assembly.
Thank You

view tab..visibility section..center of gravity button.. (assuming all your materials are setup properly)

Ok Thank you.
I actually wanted to find out what it does when I lift it from the lugs. Where the new CG is relative to the movement caused by the lifting from the lugs.

Well, the c.g. will swing until it is directly under (vertically down from) the line of the two lugs. Here "down" is defined as the direction of the local gravity vector.
