I'm looking for the best resources for Fire Pump design. Is there anything on the web anyone knows about?

MissEE8,

Your best bet would be with a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer or Forum for the actual Fire Pump design. As Electrical Engineers, we need to properly design the feeders and the normal and emergency power distribution and transfer systems for these, but in my experience, we do not design the fire pumps, jockey pumps, etc.... Nor in fact do I believe we are allowed to do so by any Fire Codes or Fire AHJ's of which I am aware. For the equipment itself, you may want to contact someone like "Armstrong-Darling", or maybe, 'Firetrol' for the controllers. I don't have their specific website addresses, but I am sure you can google them. I don't know if that is of any help, but good luck.

In most caes it would be best to consult a licensed Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) for this service.

Searching for something else, I've discovered this document on the ABB site:

I didn't read it, but maybe is of some help to you. See if this info applies for your local standards/regulations (being an ABB technical reference it is possible to be designed with the IEC technical requirements in mind).
