Hi every body,
I'm dealing with a design of an electrical substation, having two 63/10KV transformers with 60MVA capacity. These two transformers have each one a capacity of approximately 18 cubic meters of oil. According to NFPA850 and FM Global 5-4 it seems that it is required to construct fire walls around them. I have to say that we have constructed a fire wall between these two transformers, but I have another question. There is a distance of 3 meters from these transformers to the wall of building, beside them. Have anyone any experience like this, in which they have built an extra fire wall between transformers and the wall of building?
Thank you in advance
