Fired Heater

Dear All,

While reading Mechanical Datasheet of existing Fired Heater package, We found that vendor/Manufacturer has taken ambient temperature 25C for Stack design and 50C for the rest of fired heater to design.

Please could someone explain to me what was the reason for these two different temperatures taken for design for one fired heater.

Maybe one is min for expansion and the other max for thermal or air temerature?

I'd imagine the combustion air that moves fast and is fresh air drawn rapidly into the system is 25C while air around the equipment and stack is 50C.

With lower ambient temperatures considered for stack design we can expect more stack thermal losses and accordingly it would be more conservative approach for estimating the efficiency.
