Good day! may i ask if there is a need of Fire Protection (sprinkler system) for a cold storage? i jus cant find 1 code in NFPA 13 on this one thanks.

Yes, But

You need to start with the building code adopted for the project. That will tell you yes or no.


Is this a stand alone building?


Is this part of another building? If so is that building sprinkled??

How many sq ft is the deep freeze?
 
thanks for the reply. Yes it is stand alone building. it is part of another building (that is on the design phase at this time). what if the building is sprinkled? can i have a different zone for the cold storage with deluge system? i think this situation will be on the rule that "if the build is sprinkled all the part of the building should be protected by sprinkler system.
