Hi everyone,

I need to create a fixed joint between two RBE's that I have defined earlier. The two RBE's are not on the same body. I keep having to select two bodies and a specific point. Instead, I want to select the two RBE's and have the joint at the mid-point. I hope that was somewhat clear. I've attached a photo to show you what I mean. Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,
Shayan

Any particular reason you are in an ADAMS forum rather than with the node pushers on the FEA forum? forum727

Hey Greg,

I posted it in the ADAMS forum because that's the software I'm using to create the joints. Should I post it there instead?

If that really is a thing, (Help doesn't say much except not to use RBE2 in flex bodies) create a dummy part at the intersection, for the end of each RBE and then create the joint between the two dummy parts. You'd get the same effect by joining the two main parts with a joint at the location.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that!

Where on help does it say not to use RBE2 in flex bodies!?
