Flame protection mesh

I am designing an equipment that is assembled in a "Pelican type" case. The assembly has to be CE certified and the CE requires that if the case has openings these have to avoid possible flames coming through if the unit catch on fire internally.
I am looking for a wire cloth mesh to be installed in the openings that meets this requirement, can anybody help me with this?

The right answer depends on what the fuel is likely to be, or more particularly, what flame the standard proposes that you test against. See Link

There are a number of manufacturers who design and produce flame arresters for storage cabinets, drums, etc. These might be a place to start. Securall and Justrite are 2 that immediately come to mind.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.

When it comes to the wire cloth mesh being flame retardant, and made of what I suspect will have to be inconel or another high temperature alloy, I would go out and ask a manufacturer of this material ---
