Flange parameters for Design of Loose Ring Flanges to ASME Sec VIII Div 1. 1

While designing Loose Ring Flanges to Fig 3(a) of ASME Sec VIII Div 1 Appendix-2, with a backside fillet only of say 8 mm (equal to mating Shell Thickness), how to adopt go, g1 and h parameters. Note of ASME is not clear.

DK44, why would you think those values are relevant for a loose flange? (Hint: they are not)

Thank you for the clarification.
ASME could have specified at the foot note that for Loose ring flanges of figure (3a), go = g1 = h = 0 or not applicable, for clarity.

Forget about ASME as some nameless/faceless entity toiling away in obscurity. ASME is all of us. If you think that this is the right thing to do, then volunteer to help make the changes.

I just found from Dennis Moss Book, it is shown that for design of Loose Ring Flanges go, g1 and h are considered as Shell Thk, Fillet leg + Shell Thk and Fillet height respectively. Does it meet code requirements?

DK44, I suggest you carefully review Appendix 2 closely for the differences between integral, loose and optional type flanges.
