Hi
If possible,can someone explain what is the best choice between molecular seal or velocity seal for flare system in a refinery and what is the difference between them (advantages and disadvantages)?

I've only worked with molecular seals on flares. Personally, not fond of them, they could get blocked. Best to use higher purge rates instead and use inert gas if you have enough.

User dependent. Depends on application, cost of purge and local practices.

Mol seal - more pressure drop, less reliable, less purge rate for flashback prevention
Vel seal - vice versa
