Do we need PWHT for flare tip material 310S ?

Also I check in B31.3 which gives for P-8 (310S group), PWHT requirement for all thickness but does not indicate the Temperature and the holding time as indicated for other materials.

Please advise.

B31.3 Table 331.1.1 indicates no PWHT required for this material.

If the flare tips were cold formed, you may want to re-think a thermal treatment.

I examined a flare tip last year that had crumbled for reasons that included severe sigmatization. We went with Inconel 625 on the replacement.

I think you need to define what part of the flare tip, since they have a number of components.
