Flat pattern

i am having some component n want to make a simple flat pattern but i cant, it give some error to me ,so any one can help me.

First off, WHY ARE YOU PROVIDING THIS MODEL IN PARASOLID FORMAT? Why not provide a proper NX model so that we could see how it was created which might help to answer your question? One of the reasons that I ask this is because the model you provided has a non-uniform thickness which, at least for NX 7.5, would make this model automatically unacceptable for being manipulated with any sort of sheet metal functionality.

Second, I have to ask, when you say that you're looking for a 'simple' flat pattern (which BTW would be anything BUT 'simple') are you referring to having tried to create this flat pattern using the NX Sheet Metal module or perhaps the Aerospace Sheet Metal module?

OK, now that I see the original model, it's apparent that it was NOT created using any of the Sheet Metal modules, but rather was modeled a regular solid, which in and of itself would not necessarily automatically prevented you from using the Sheet Metal tools to work on, but you have had to convert it to a 'Sheet Metal' model first. Unfortunately, due to the modeling approach taken, the model does NOT represent what a formed Sheet Metal part would look like which disqualifies it for being 'converted'. The problem is with the edges since a sheet metal part the small face arounf the edge would be, by definition, normal to the inner and outer faces of the model (just because you use a 'Shell' command does not assure you that the result will actually look like it was formed from sheet metal).

That being said, even if you would have managed to create a model which could have been converted to sheet metal, there would be no practical way to 'flatten' this model since it cannot be formed by using normal sheet metal 'break' method, but rather is 'stamped' and you would therefore need to use a die design package since that is how a part like this would be produced, as die stamping.

As John said, this is a part that requires stamping and not "normal" sheet metal methods. NX has the ability to flatten this with an add-on tool called "Analyze Formability-One Step" which is a piece taken out of the Progressive Die package. I have no problem flattening it with that add-on tool. But I couldn't guarantee the accuracy; nor could I even make it in my shop, not it one piece anyway.

It doesn't really matter since this model, even if you were able to create it using NX Sheet Metal, cannot be 'flattened' since it's a 'stamped' part. You will need to use the Formability module.
