Can someone guide me to a formula to figure t-required for a rectangular pressure vessel with flat sides (Fin-Fan header box)? I'm thinking of using the Sect. VIII flat head formula for lack of anything else. (I'm doing remaining life calculations.)

Thanks!

I'm trying to run remaining life calculations. I need to know the minimum required metal thickness, I just can't seem to find anything as clear as section UG-27 is for cylindrical and spherical shells. I'll look through appendix 13 more carefully to se if I can find what I need.

Appendix 13 is where you should be looking for an all welded plug type header box. If it's a coverplate design (e.g. a full removable bolted cover with gasketted joint) then an alternative design is required as I don't believe Appendix 13 covers this.
