Flat Top of Cyclone Filter

Hello everyone,
I am designing a cyclone filter with a flat top though which a large nozzle passes.
The cyclone is working in full vacuum condition with zero internal pressure at a design temperature of 200°C.
The calculated thickness for both drum and conical section is 8 mm. Material is SS316L and C.A. is 0.
The ID of the drum is 1650mm and the large nozzle on top has a diameter of 960mm. According to App. 14 the thickness of the flat head must be almost 50mm. This thickness doesn't sit right with me and I have seen drawings of cyclone filters with somewhat similar dimension and design conditions having way thinner heads (12~15mm). Am I doing something wrong in using App. 14? Is there another way to calculate this thickness?
I add the sketch of the cyclone filter for reference. The nozzle in question is N2 on top.

Thanks in advance for your kind inputs.

Hi,
Consider this resource to support your design work, it may not answer your specific question.
If I remember well, you will find information in Perry's Chemical engineer's handbook
