What type of floor fastner is suitable for securing steel floor plate to a prefabricated steel mezzanine?
Thanks,
David

There are some options. Exploring conditions helps narrow down and refine the choices.

Grating Dealers sell mechanical clamp clips.

You can weld it.

You can drill and tap flat head screws.

Thanks for your input, one never knows when something new may come into the market which you are unaware of.
I checked w/ the fastner Co. and they basically said the same thing.
I was hoping to find something which would fit flush when secured, I'll go to plan "B".

I'm partial to the flat head screws option myself, but it has it's holdups. For one, every plate becomes indegenous to one and only one place. If it gets moved, you must drill and tap new holes since no two plates will be identical. The clamp clips have some flexibility in arrangement.
