Hello All,

I have some queries for a structural design of a house. I have difficulties in connecting the beam-column-slab for this floor of the house. As shown in the attached picture, the columns are located at the lower level of the house. And I do not know how to connect the main beam to the column because usually the beams will be placed at the higher level.

I do not think it is correct to put two beams side by side right? I mean one beam at the lower level to connect the columns i.e. main beam and then another beam at the upper level.

Thanks for your help.

If the levels are not far apart vertically, you could use one beam to pick up both the high & low framing.

Dear Spats.

Yup, instead of connecting it directly to column, I used the beams to support it. Thanks :)
