Need some information about best method/product to protect against corrosion 8" Carbon Steel flowline after hydrotest, line is planned be water filled for and one/two years another part of project be completed.
Depending on where you are, you may also need a biocide and an oxygen scavenger. Talk with the chemical companies and let them know your hydrotest water source and quality specification.
What is going to be in the pipeline later? If you will have a rust in the product quality specification of any kind, clean and dry the line and cap with N2.
If its a flowline, I was thinking there's gonna' be a lot of well materials, sand, bit parts, mud, oil, H2S, CO2, wax, hydrates, probably N2, and hopefully a little gas and/or oil, so any special cleaning (other than removing construction junk) now might not be needed at all.
Guys,
I received the information requested by REP, the product is BACTIREP 1418 it's a biocide and treatment with 2000 ppm, protection is for one year.
