Hello,
I am cutting 16 Ga. SS parts 1"x36"" using a tab on each end and the material is bowing quite about .500" what can i do differently in nesting stages? To prevent this from occurring.?

Put more tabs on the parts.
Tab every 12" to 18" reduce or increase as required.

if its nested length ways, turn it 90 Deg if it fits in the sheet
Check if the sheet is stretched levelled by the supplier? if it's not find another supplier that offers it & test that material.

More tabs did the trick. to keep most of the sheet together. reduced my bowing dramatically.
Thanks!

Hi Fiberjerm2, I'm curious were you looking to stop the bowing to help the cutting or were you looking to have the finished part without bowing?
Im very interested as I can't see that additional tabs will make a difference to the finished part, in theory the stress is still in the part it's just not visible until the tabs are broken.
Cheers
