We are involved in a project of comersialising an off-shore racing type Surface Piercing Propeller. Surace Piercing Propellers are subjected to heavy fluctuating loads by moving from water to air to water during one revolution. Have any of you seen any scientific work on measuring (or calculating) these loads?? Do you knoe where to find this??

Thanks for any help

Hi,
We do operate Arenson Drive units with piercing 5 blades piercing propellers. The propellers are manufactured by Rolla. We do have some data on the forces and I will provide you some next week. Regards, Morel.
