I'm looking at a project for filling station forecourts involving the monitoring of transactions (from dispenor nozzle lift through to customer paying) and was wondering if anyone had any good pointers to sources of information on standards for communications between equipment on the forecourt.
I'd like to know how the pumps, dispensors, POS, back office systems talk to each other (or to what extent they do).
Got a lot of vendor specific stuff (from Gilbarco and the likes) but was wondering if any of you had any useful pointers.
