I'm in the process of documenting a sheet metal cabinet and am forming subassemblies within the main assembly as the manufacturing process dictates.

I just formed a new subassembly and got the following:

In the main assembly, the new subassembly appears fine. If I open the new subassembly in a new window, however, the new subassembly only shows 1 part when there should be several.

If I do File, Find References, all the correct information is there. If I look at the assembly statistics, the information shows only 1 unique part.

Anyone ever seen this and how might I fix it?

Thanks,
Dave Gowans

Guess I should have kept trying things before I posted......

Here's what did it:

After forming the new subassembly, I opened it in a new window. As before, I could only see 1 part. The feature tree looked as I expected, but the assembly itself displayed incorrectly. I then set all the components to lightweight, at which time everything displayed correctly. Upon resolving the components again, everything appears fine!!!!!!

Any thoughts? A new way to CTRL-Q?????

I thought that as well. I'm on Win XP Pro, SWX 2005 SP 0.0 using an ATI Fire GL 8800, driver version 6.12.10.3056. According to the SWX website, this is the correct driver for this certified video card.

Maybe Crtl-Q twice or close and open again (this close and open occured some days ago, I don't remember now exactly the problem, but it was a drawing not updating as it should; Ctrl-Q didn't solve the problem and it was solved only after closing all files and opening again the darwing).

Regards

To eliminate the possibility of it being a faulty card, try what faq559-1058 & faq559-1066 suggest. They are very simple & quick tests.

[cheers] & all the best.

Well...I have come across this today. I could not see anything. But the feature tree, references etc everything was fine.

Nothing to do with the system config...( have VAR/SW recommended configs all over engg dept)

When I saved the file and closed SW and started another window and opened the file it was fine.

Happened to me several times today.
