I need to create a retangular raised rib on a clip 1.6 thick. I created a forming tool and saved it to the library. When I place it on the face it tells me that "the part's thickness may not be compatible with this form tool. The thickness must be less than the minimum radius of curvature for the form tool." I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Attached is a file of the forming tool. Is this the correct approach?
Thanks in advance all.

Why did you post a STEP file? Why not post the SW format Forming Tool file?

the part's thickness may not be compatible with this form tool. The thickness must be less than the minimum radius of curvature for the form tool

The min rad of curvature of the tool is .0079" (.2mm) at the rad adjacent to the red surface.
How thick is the material you are trying to use this tool on?

The error message is telling you that any radius on the tool must be greater than the thickness of the part.

D, boss-extrude2 should be before boss-extrude1. After creating the dimple profile cut away boss-extrude-1. Check out the sample form tools for how to construct them.

I'm no expert, only an occasional user of forming tools. Good luck and I hope this helps.
