To Whom it May Concern.
I have a very specific question about "Design of Structures and Foundations for Vibrating Machines" by Suresh Arya, Michael O,Neill and George Pincus.
on page 13 Table 1-4 r is defined as the Frequency of the Excitation force/ the Natural Circular Frequency. In other words, the operating frequency / the natural frequency.
In example 1 sheet 96 Table 6-2 this ratio works and I get the numbers shown in the table.
In example 2 sheet 101 Table 6-3 it seems that the ratio is reversed? Meaning the Natural Frequency / the Operation Frequency, it is the only way I can get the magnification factor shown (.022 in the vertical excitation), but I am still unable to get the Transmissibility factor to match up.
In example 3 sheet sheet 108 Table 6-4 also seems as if this ratio is reversed to get the numbers to match up?
Any help would be much appreciated.
