I wasn't sure where to post this, but I guess learning is always a good way for personal improvement [smarty]

I've recently heard that, as an initiative to support e-learning in this Covid19 times, Springer Publishing is giving free access to a great number of technical e-books, undergraduate and graduate level (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths... and more).

Check here for the publisher statement and a spreadsheet with all the free e-books available and their download links.

You can also browse for e-books, papers and journals here (For free e-books check out the box "Include preview-only content").

The e-books can be downloaded directly without registration. I've downloaded a few books myself.

Hope you can find something helpfull.

PS: is not my intention to promote anything, just to share a valuable resource.

Just sent this to our division manager so he can broadcast it... some potentially useful titles in there, I just wish you didn't have to download a chapter at a time.

"Electrical Machines" (Springer)is not a bad introductory text on the subject, especially considering the price ;-)

None of the others caught my eye as particularly interesting to me personally. How about everyone else, were there any good finds in that list for you?

The best for me are:

- Reactive Power Control in AC Power Systems (it seems to cover more than I can ever need on the subject, as a non-specialist)
- Energy Storage (downloaded at first just for curiosity, but will be an interesting read, if I ever got the time)
- Energy Economics (same as previous)

and a few regarding python programming (there is a bunch on the topic), being the new skill I'm trying to acquire.
