Freezer slab design

Hi all,

Currently looking for the best method/guide for designing a freezer slab (structural and wearing) for cold store racking. Looking for information on the capacity of the bottom structural slab relative to the upper wearing slab (above the insulation) and how this should be interpreted as to develop an efficient design.

If anyone has any information or tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Almost all of the freezer slabs I’ve done were 6” thick reinforced over 8” of rigid insulation over 10” thick crushed rock with a glycol system centered in the rock and a vapor barrier in the system as well. No topping slabs. Saw cut joints at 30 ft +/-

They were for 34’ tall racks and forklift traffic in the aisles.
