Hi everyone,

I'm trying to analyze frictional heat generation between two surfaces. I realized that if I use general contact, there is no temperature change at all, but if I use contact pair, there is temperature change. Is frictional heat generation simulation only possible with contact pair? Thank you!

from manual:
"Thermal contact for general contact works analogously to thermal contact for contact pairs"
So I guess both should work?

sdebock,

Thank you, I also saw that before. Maybe I missed some tricks.
