We have 4" diameter column with 20 dual flow trays. Is there any rule of thumb that I can use to predict froth height on tray with known liquid and vapor flow?

There is NO rule of thumb, you have to calculate.
figures around 100-150mm are not uncommonn, but this is very much system dependant.

Also be careful a 4" (4 inches) dualflow tray is a small, real small one.

Thanks, guys. We ran the column and obtained ~ 3inches froth height. Found target froth height with the same feed material which was done by other engineer about a decade ago and it was 4 inches.

256362, thanks for the link. That's interesting infor.
