Fully configurable Logic

For those of you who have utilized reclosers and various control platforms they can be paired them with- what exactly is configurable logic? How have you taken advantage of it? Is it worth it?

I saw this feature show up on a chart with various recloser controls and figured I'd gauge the forum's opinion.

Like programmable logic? I think most microprocessor relays can do that, including recloser controls.
If you want special features, yes it is worth it.
It mainly comes down to Boolean math, sort of like programming.

There may be an application, such as a recloser used as the PCC in smaller DG applications. In cases like these, it may be very helpful to be able to accommodate external signals, special utility requirements via fully configurable logic.
