I succeed to use the following function in the spreadsheet

EVALCRV( "object_name", eval_type, param1, param2, steps)
with (CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to populate the cells)

but not the simple POINT function

POINT( "object_name" )

I always have the message: invalid function

Thanks in advance

Hi John

Sorry, I forgot to specify that I use NX7 with Excel 2007

Hi everybody,

I explain that I want to populate 3 cells with the coordinate X,Y,Z of a named point "Point1"

No idea for me ?

Thanks in advance

Didier

In NX4 you need to specifically name the CREATED associative point. I did this in the Part Nav tool or in the properties box of the point. Next, in the spreadsheet, you have to pull down the formula bar to access the user defined formula, point. Assuming you have the required adjacent cells highlighted the process should work. The canned instructions for NX4 left out the notification that the point had to be NAMED. I was going to include a screenshot of the formula location, but I can't. The "point" formula must be an NX supplied one.

I logged an incident report and it has been converted to a problem report by the developpment. (PR 1786944)
