Hello

Im having a nightmare with some threaded connections which
keep leaking

The Female thread is G1/2"

The Male, I believe to be 1/2" BSP Parallel Male EO Fitting

I have tried a Dowty Washer to seal and the fitting has
a raised sealing face.

I am investigating a metal washer to seal

I think the washers require a flat sealing surface to seal upon but the Tee in aam connecting into has a cast surface with no machining

Questions

Can I use BSP(T) Male in this G1/2" Female and get a
reliable seal without a secondary seal ??

Where can I find some good info on G and R threads ?

TIA

ISO (G) is a straight pipe thread exactly the same as BSPP, ISO (R) is a tapered pipe thread exactly the same as BSPT.

There was a long thread equating the various nationality pipe threads on this forum. Other resources are Machinery's Handbook, Norgren, Legris, etc.
