I need to purchase a set of gage pin, and these are use for QC deppartment. Per say, all of the instrument need to be calibrated.

If I purchase a new gage pin, and it provide Certificate of Class/Conformance (compliance) or Certificate of accuracy, NIST Tracability, do I still need to request for calibration on this piece?

The answer to this question will be found in your QA manual. Since we do not have your QA manual, we cannot answer it for you.

In our organization, you would be ok for a year and then it need calibration, FWIW.

No cal required initially - you have that document in your hands. If you cal them yourself, your cert will read the same as what you already have; "within tolerance, and NIST traceable".
