Galling of Monel threads

Dear All,

I would like to know if there is any possibility that one housing made of K-500 Monel would gall with another housing made of K-500 Monel. The housings are put together using a Stub Acme thread.

I know that using like materials in such a way is a bad idea, but have heard that Monel doesn't gall due to it's high copper content? Is this just an urban myth?
