Hi Guys,

i have a drawing with galvanising specifications as the general notes.

one note is "Baling" is not permitted. (it even has the " symbol, as if it is a colloquialism).

Does anyone know what Baling is and why it would be prohibited?

I don't know for sure, but might it mean that you can't wire or strap together a group of pieces and put them into the hot zinc.

I've never heard the term used, but that's how I would interpret it as well.

What Jed said or maybe check the Urban Dictionary

It is apparently related to bale, as will be clear from this Link.

A good structural engineer is often a blessing for others.
