Galvanized A325 instead to Galvanized A197 B7, possible ?

Hi dears,
Following a delay in the delivery of project bolts for a new gas processing plant under construction, our Contractor proposes the use of Low Alloy steel bolts galvanized bolts (A197 B7) with Carbon steel galvanized bolts (ASTM A325) for the clamping of piping supports.
Is there anyone who can enlighten me about this technical proposal?

Dear hammiaram,

This is poor planning on the part of your contractor. They are substituting higher cost material to offset the delay. Do check the stress value of the bolts that are proposed are not lower than the original ones.

As long as the galvanized layer does not peel off, you don't have any issue.

Make the contractor agree to replace the bolts with the original ones during the one year guarantee period while the plant is under commissioning.
