Has anyone come accross some training material, which they would be happy to pass on for the analysis software to self train, have had a brief look at the package on a demo and it looks that although it migh be designer useful it might be a nightmare to use.
The first question would be - are you already capable of understanding FEA, CAD aside? Do you know what you're trying to do, and the principles involved?
If you can answer yes to those questions, I'd say don't waste your time looking for material outside of the documentation. The workbenches are very easy to use, if you already understand the physical principles involved. There will be tricks you learn as you go, but it's really quite straightforward.
I used the products for over 3 years, and never set foot into a classroom, or opened a book. This isn't in the same leagues as learning VB or CATScript. (I did static frequency cases for rotating parts with uneven pressure distribution)
The problem I am having is I keep getting a factorised matrix computation. singularity detected ( relative pivot too small ), now I assume this is because in some way I have missed a restraint, and yet to me it looks restrained.
It's hard to say what the problem is without seeing the part. Maybe you can post it, along with some descriptions of your part restraints? (what features they are attached to)
Am not sure how you post the files up here but I am looking at 2 parts, assembled as a product, all constrained within the component. I have then fixed the one part with clamp, applied a contact connection property to the relative constraint, but only one, this is allowing the part to move on the base, however I have been unable tofind any connections which can be used with the offset constraints. I am sure that there is something very obvious I am missing but have gone through the help files top to bottom trying to ensure the parts are assembled properly. Is it as simple as the package is unable to deal with just a welded assy, the weld features seem not to restrain the parts at all?
