Hello,
I work for a company that design and manufacture ball and needle valves for the oil and gas industry. Our products are tested In accordance with API 598 & BS EN 12266-1, which up to now has only involved hydrostatic and low pressure (6 BAR) Air tests, however we are now getting and increased number of enquiries for projects that require Gas testing at full design pressure (1035 BAR).
As this is an extremely hazardous undertaking, I would like to ask if anyone knows of a Suitable training course for our technichians, that is aimed at High Pressure Gas testing?

Thanks

You do not tell us in which country you are located, but:

There exsists a number of lboratories/commercial open test facilities around the world doing this type of tests, and also some selling or producing equipment and test stands, I presume.

What about locating some (non-competing) and ask?

Possibel also look into partnership/agreement with non-competing valve producer already established with testing facilities and procedures for this type of tests?

Thankyou for your reply, We are in the UK.
We already have all the facilities to do the testing in house, we are just lacking the trained staff to carry it out. At the moment i am doing it myself but this is becoming too time consuming so we need to train up some more people to be competent in this area. I was just wondering if there is some official training course we can send them on?
Thanks

Ask larger customers/users in the North Sea area ( Statoil, FMC, Aker Solutions, DNV or others ) for recommandations and experiences?
