Hi
I am a newbie piping field engineer. I would like to know if standard dimensions of gaskets for Tongue and Groove flanges (ASME B 16.5)are listed in any of the ASME standards. I found that ASME B16.20 is for metallic gaskets and B16.21 is for non metallic gaskets but did not find any mention of gaskets for T&G configuration. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi, mk3223
Thanks, also, do you happen to know if there is any pressure class restrictions on Tongue and groove flanges, like it cannot be used above certain pressure ratings

The Code doesn't specify the limit of the pressure rating based on the flange face type.
IMO, it may depend on the O&M experience. Because no evident benefit, I did replace the old T&G flange with RF flange with spiral wound gasket in the past.
