Hello,

I would like to know how many gauss point have these elements :

Hexaedric quadratic element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)
Prismatic quadratic element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)
Tetraedric quadratic element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)

Hexaedric linear element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)
Prismatic linear element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)
Tetraedric linear element in COMSOL Multiphysics (Lagrangien element)

Hexaedric quadratic element in CASTEM (CU20)
Prismatic quadratic element in CASTEM (PR15)
Tetraedric quadratic element in CASTEM (TE10)

Hexaedric linear element in CASTEM (CUB8)
Prismatic linear element in CASTEM (PRI6)
Tetraedric linear element in CASTEM (TET4)

thanks

In most programs this value will depend on the shape functions. To get an exact integration you need the polynomial degree of the shape function to be 2n-1 or lower when n is the number of gauss points.

Thanks for this answer but do you know where we can found theses values for COMSOL and CASTEM ?
There is no information in documentation...
