Can I use a Basic dimension 3X for the Ball Hex width and use profile of a surface to define the hex feature?

Which feature is datum feature B (diameter 3.96)? The extension lines are tangent to the ball hex, but then they go on through the round groove.

Yes, the 3.96 dia is datum B and I was gonna use profile tolerance on the groove and the ball hex. Is it something that I can use for this?

Yes, you can use profile of a surface to control the groove and the ball hex, with reference to datum features A and B. For defining the true profile the tolerance zones will be based on, you will need to either define the geometry of the ball hex and the groove with basic dimensions, or include the CAD model in your product definition data set, and refer to it from a note on the drawing.
