Hello I have one doubt regarding GD&T composite Tolerance
Enclosing excel file and image along with it. Please help.

I got this question online with this much detail only. I have solved it based on my understanding. If you can check then also it will be great.

There is no composite tolerance shown on the drawing.

And by the way, I think 0.004 is the correct answer to the parallelism question, not 0.005.

Thank you for your response. Highly Appreciated. I also think I should not have added the Datum Feature shift (1.369-1.368) to parallelism tolerance.

Actually, The Question is not about composite Tolerance. Please ignore that statement. the question is to Calculate the Total parallelism of "HOLE C" up to 4 Decimal Places.

manuj_arora,

I agree with greenimi that the total parallelism tolerance for hole C would be 0.004. It is strange that the question asks for rounding to the 4th decimal place when the tolerances and measured values only go to the 3rd decimal place.

I'm wondering what the source of the question is. The drawing has errors.

What is the MMC limit in the Y direction of that central hole?
If one made a hard gauge what orientation limits would be accepted?

That range of motion won't have circular sections.

The question that is best is what is the maximum orientation difference between an MMC gauge in the datum feature and that of a gauge in datum feature [C] compared to the extrapolated results from a CMM.

Thank you all for your contribution. I am satisfied with all your answers. I also believe total parallelism tolerance for hole C would be 0.004. This question was put up to me with no further detail so I also could not speak much on the quality of the drawing or why these tolerances were given. Thank you once again for all your efforts and time.
