When the local 4kv MCC stop is operated our motor stops as expected but as the stop is not a latched stop as soon as it is released the motor starts again. Is it possible to wire this stop to the protection relay,so when operated it uses the same trip relay as a protection trip and could the relay be programmed to say stop operated. Can anyoine help.

Yes, if you already have a 369 you can do that. Set up one of the inputs to be an E-stop and have it directly operate an output relay, then program the output relay as latched.

Or wire your normally closed, momentary, e-stop in series with the motor contactor coil circuit. Thats how I would do it then the relay does not come into the picture so if something fails inside you can still stop the motor.

I would set a timer to the Logic inside the relay, if sime one accidentally push the E-stop will not trip the motor eg 200 miliseconds, specially if the Estop button donot have protection hood for accidentally push.
