Hi friends ,

I have a problem about GE Mulitlin UR relays.I can communicate with realy successfully,but when i try to save any set change ,it takes so long time....and Writing to device is taking more than an hour time.


what can be the problem ?_

Check your software for the relay. If I remember correctly ge changed a lot of the UR programs. That happen to be the answer that ge give me about 20 years ago.

If you're going through the front panel serial port, it IS slow. I call it GE's built-in coffee break.

I find it worth the effort to use the Ethernet ports on the rear, either through our relaying network or through an Ethernet crossover cable. doing this greatly boosts speeds for any computer to relay operation.

oldfield guy , i know the ethernet :D , i m laready connecting with it...but serial connection takes so long time
 
We did not have very many UR relays and replaced all of them with SEL relays no later than 6 years ago.
