Hi all,

I need help with finding companies that manufacture small hi-torque, worm geared motors (something like this the 12VDC 56 Kg.cm stall torque model).

I can't use trading sites (ebay, aliexpress etc.) because i need an official manufacturer that ensures quality and support, but so far every manufacturer i found has only planetary geared motors and the worm geared ones are to large or to week for the application i need them for.

Needed motor specs:
1. Voltage 12VDC
2. Stall torque 5-8 Nm
3. Speed 3-10 RPM
4. Worm geared
5. External/internal threaded shaft + key slot/D shaped shaft
6. Miniature size

Thanks.

Thanks,

But i did search for motors before asking here, the thing is that for some reason the majority of the results that google provides are from ebay, aliexpress and the likes (sites i didn't even know existed) and the results that are relevant, there are no suitable motor on those sites.

Hello,

You might want to check Crouzet ,Bison and Pittman (Ametek).

A few more decent brands to look at:

Oriental Motor
Maxon
Portescap

"Back in the day" before Google, after fighting off the dinosaurs, engineers looking for a manufacturer of a particular item would go to a library of actual printed paper catalogs (if you can imagine such a thing). In many offices this was an entire room of bookshelves. Some offices had a full time Engineering Librarian in charge of making sure every catalog was the latest version and in the right place. Usually on a bottom shelf they would find a large collection of oversize green hardback books called Thomas Register (20 or more volumes depending on which edition you had). They would pull the appropriate volume and flip through it to find all the information they needed on manufacturers of green upside-down widgets or anything else.

Now just go to You can filter by manufacturer, distributor, whatever. I don't think you'll find the Alibaba's or Ebay there.
