I found the best way is to make you own. Use AutoCad Design
Center. This allows you to drag and drop. Check out the symbols that come with your AutoCad Design Center
and build on them or start from scrach.
I started from scrach myself It was easy
once you figure out how the Design Center drawing works.

We do all of our electrical and fire alarm riser diagrams individually. As AFab suggested, we have blocks of the standard items for the riser that we pull from one template drawing over to the new drawing. If you do it once and save out the drawing/blocks out to a spot everyone can find and use, it becomes so much easier. And the price is low - free. It only takes your time to create the items and save them, time that you might have spent researching, buying and learning another overlay product.

Now if you are doing massive amounts of wiring that you need to keep organized it could be a different story, but I know what works for us and our simplier diagrams.

You can draw electrical schematics with anything from a simple block library, even draw all your own symbols... all the way up to spending thousands of dollars on third party add-ons that help automate, organize those efforts.

I would suggest looking at Autodesk's AutoCAD Electrical application.

(which was formerly VIA Developement's EEPD+ product)

You can also visit Autodesk's eStore, which has a Partner's Page that will let you search for other products, symbols libraries, etc...

and use the menu on the left panel > Partner Products & Services > Search Engine
