Hello all,
Just a quick question, I've been googling for 1/2 an hour and can't dig up the information. I've been through both Caterpillar's and Cummins-Onan's site and none of their literature seems to publish the numbers. I know they used to, but I can't seem to find it. All I need is the approximate operating weight for a 2 MW, 480Y/277V,3Ph,4W,60Hz, indoor genset. Equal and similar to the Cat 3516C diesel fired unit. I know they used to list the dry and operating weights in their features chart, but I sure did not see it.

We have a situation in a hospital central plant that has issues with current OSHPD foundation design and they want to limit our equipment weights. I really would rather stay out of their, but that is not the owners first choice

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
EEJaime

It's a pain, what voltage? With or without radiator? Standard base?

There are so many options hard to publish weights that are accurate, but if you can provide some details I might be able to get pretty close.

Maybe saving Mike some work, Specsizer puts a dry machine with that engine and an 1844 PM alternator at just under 15 tons.
