Hi,
I have embankment(accumulation lakes) of stone material. We will put the geomembrane on the slope of the embankment due to water permeability.
The slope of the embankment, in reality, should be kept dry because if you do not modelate geomembrane slope is wet and get a different safety factor FS. Does anyone know how to model the geomembrane in GEOSTUDIO Slope-W. Thanks!

I don't understand what you are building or trying to model.

If the membrane is being installed as a liner to contain the water, then I would not model it at all in Slope/w.

I got a task that I must modelate the embankment of the lake which is used for irrigation. The embankment is from stone material because at this location there is no clay. That's why I have to put the geomembrane. I can not choose how it will be carried mound but I was told to just modeled it in the Slope/W embankment stability. I do not know how to model geomembrane in Slope/w and it is the only thing I'm interested in. Maybe if I modeled the water as surcharge load (not as piezometric line) on this way embankment is dry.

Second way is in SEEP/W to model unpermeable material (this is geomebrane) and PWP in Slope/w take from Seep-w.
I wonder whether it's possible to draw this geomembrane just in Slope-w?

Davor30, please do not model phreatic surface using surcharge load! I'm sure you will be using a drained type analysis, so phreatic surface is important for the software to calculate pore pressure and hence material strength! You can control the phreatic surface through the embankment (if you are expecting it to remain dry) by manually drawing it wherever you like. But I would suggest that you model stability by assuming a phreatic surface develops through the embankment, or atleast at the foundation level at the downstream side.
