Hey all,
I am studying a geotechnical course in the Netherlands which is heavily based on the NEN-EN 9997 guidelines. These are simply the Dutch amendments to the more general Eurocode 7.
In the text for this course they explain that the norms categorize geotechnical constructions into 3 seperate "Geotechnical Categories". I assume this is also the same for the European norm. They claim that the categories are further explained in NEN-EN 9997 (and thus EN 1997). However I am not able to find the introduction of these categories anywhere in the norm. I also checked in EN 1990 but this concerns the structural stuff more so than the geotech stuff.
Does anyone know where I can find this? Thanks.
