I am using static structure in Ansys to draw a truss structure design with nuts and bolts installed to the body. This geometry contains more than ten million notes and elements. I do not apply any connection feature as originally set all components bonded to one another. The problem is after I added loading force and fix support point in the geometry as I hit the solve button, an error "SIG$SEGV" appear which I know might be caused by the physical memory limitation that ansys allowed to use during the solution process. After digging through some materials, I know that the error can be resolved by re-setting so call "Msave" command, but I don't know how to set it in ansys. And also, I know some people using PCG solver to handle huge amount of data in Ansys solution setting but I only have two solvers available to choice either "APDL" and "Samcef" in the static structure modeling option. So what are they difference, how can I set my solver and how could I solve this error?
