Glass Mould Material

I wish to know the material used for Glass Moulds used in manufacture of cosmetic & perfumery glass bottles.

What is the welding carried out in the Moulds?

What is the Mould Cavity Finish in terms of Ra value required in order to obtain the best finish & quality of such bottles?

Dear PPkini,
normally perfume bottles in glass are made out of Cast iron moulds which have titanium added to the cast Iron for getting the closed grained cast iron. This is usually chrome plated and polished to desired results.There may be additions of nickel manganese and chrome The ghraphite amount in te cast iron mould decides the velvetty sheen that it will give to the moulded glass.
These moulds are welded by means of eutectic welding by a blow torch.
