Global Text Width Change R09

I would have sworn that this question had been asked a million times, but I could not find a thread for it in Search.

ACAD2009: How can one font style appearing many times in a drawing be globally changed? I want to change the width . . . the text in the dwg has a width of 1.25, and I want it to be 0.90. Thanks for all solutions, tips, pointings-in-the-right directions . . . I tried changing the width in STYLE, then Regen, but the 1.25 width sticks.
